Managing Multiple Organizations

Accountants and fiduciaires can manage several client companies from one Hisab account, each with its own data, and switch between them in one click.

If you are an accountant or a fiduciaire (cabinet comptable) handling several client companies, Hisab lets you keep them all under one login. Each client is a separate organization with its own customers, invoices, expenses and settings, and you switch between them from a single control - without logging out.

Managing more than one organization requires the Fiduciaire plan. See Which plan do I need? below.

Who is this for?

This is built for accountants and fiduciaires who invoice and keep books for multiple businesses. Instead of a separate account per client, you create one organization per client company inside your Hisab account and work across them.

On every other plan (Starter and Professional) your account has exactly one organization - this multi-organization workflow is specific to the Fiduciaire plan.

How do I add an organization?

You can add a new organization in two places:

  1. From the organization switcher in the dashboard sidebar (top-left on desktop, top bar on mobile): open it and click Create Organization.
  2. Or go to Dashboard → Organizations and click New Organization (the empty state shows Create Your First Organization).

Either way you land on the Create New Organization form. Fill in:

  • Legal Name (required) - the official registered name of the business.
  • ICE Number (optional) - the 15-digit Moroccan tax identification number. If you enter one, it must be unique; you cannot reuse an ICE already attached to another organization.
  • RC Number (optional) - the commercial register number.
  • IF Number (optional) - the tax identifier (identifiant fiscal).

Click the submit button. The new organization is created, you become its owner, and Hisab makes it your active organization, then takes you into it so you can set it up.

A new organization inherits your subscription (your plan tier and status). Organizations do not carry their own subscription - you, the account holder, are the billing entity.

How do I switch between organizations?

The organization switcher in the sidebar shows your current organization (name and ICE). Click it to open the list of Your Organizations, then pick another one. A check mark shows which one is active. Hisab reloads the dashboard in the context of the organization you chose.

You can also switch from Dashboard → Organizations, where every organization is shown as a card with its plan, status, your role and the member count. Each card has a Switch to this organization action (and the same option in the card's "..." menu).

Behind the scenes, switching simply changes which organization your session points at. The whole dashboard - invoices, customers, reports, settings - then reflects that organization until you switch again.

What does each organization keep separate?

Each organization is its own isolated workspace. Hisab scopes your data to the active organization, so when you are inside one client you only see that client's:

  • customers and suppliers,
  • invoices, quotes (devis) and credit notes,
  • expenses,
  • reports and dashboard figures,
  • organization settings (legal details, currencies, bank accounts, team members and roles).

Switching organizations switches all of the above at once. Work done in one client's organization never mixes with another's.

Which plan do I need?

Creating and managing more than one organization is a Fiduciaire feature.

PlanOrganizations you can own
Starter1
Professional1
FiduciaireUp to 10

If you are on Starter or Professional and try to create a second organization, Hisab blocks it and points you to the Fiduciaire plan. On Fiduciaire you can create up to 10 organizations; if you reach that, Hisab asks you to contact support for more.

The Fiduciaire plan is also the plan that lifts the other limits a multi-client practice needs - unlimited team members and unlimited invoices (versus the caps on lower plans). To compare plans, see Subscribing and plans.

Good to know

  • Multi-organization is gated to Fiduciaire. Starter and Professional accounts have a single organization. The cap on Fiduciaire is 10 organizations owned by you.
  • You are the owner of every organization you create, and your subscription (plan and status) is inherited by each one.
  • Switching is instant and non-destructive. It only changes which organization is active for your session; nothing is moved or merged.
  • Bring your team into a client. Inside any organization you can invite team members and assign roles (such as Accountant or Bookkeeper) - see team management. Each person only sees the organizations they are a member of.
  • Need to change your plan? See Managing your subscription.
