Adding Your First Customer
Before you can create an invoice, you need at least one customer. This guide shows you how to add and manage customers in Hisab.
Customer Types
Hisab supports two types of customers:
Business Customers (B2B)
- ICE number required for tax compliance
- Company name and legal details
- Used for most business transactions
Individual Customers (B2C)
- No ICE required
- Personal name and contact details
- For retail or consumer sales
Adding a Customer
- Go to Customers in the sidebar
- Click "Add Customer"
- Fill in the required information
Required Fields for B2B

Optional Information
Enhance your customer records with:
- Phone Number: Primary contact number
- Address: Street, city, postal code
- Contact Person: Main point of contact (for businesses)
- Notes: Internal notes (payment preferences, special instructions)
- Default Payment Terms: Override your standard terms
ICE Number Validation
For B2B customers, Hisab validates the ICE format:
- Must be exactly 15 digits
- No letters or special characters
- Shows green checkmark when valid
Tip: Verify ICE numbers at tax.gov.ma to ensure accuracy.
After Adding a Customer
Once saved, you can:
- View the customer's profile
- See their invoice history
- Create an invoice directly for them
- Edit their information anytime
Managing Customers
Edit Customer
Click on any customer to view and edit their details.
Delete Customer
Customers with existing invoices cannot be deleted (for audit purposes). You can mark them as inactive instead.
Search Customers
Use the search bar to find customers by:
- Name
- ICE number
